Wall decoration moldings are mainly used in three areas:
Ceiling decoration: 100-150mm wide plaster cornice moldings are used, adhered with quick-setting plaster adhesive, to cover pipe joints and enhance the spatial layering.
Wall transition: 12mm thick wooden moldings are installed at the junction of the wainscoting and the latex-painted wall, fixed with a pneumatic nail gun and white glue to prevent material expansion and contraction cracking.
Door and window finishing: U-shaped metal moldings are used to finish the aluminum alloy sliding door track grooves, with a groove depth of 8-10mm, and the surface is treated with electrophoretic coating.
The installation of decorative moldings requires a four-step process:
1. Base treatment: The moisture content of the concrete wall surface must be controlled below 8%, and the wooden base surface must be coated with a sealing primer.
2. Positioning and layout: A laser level is used to mark the installation baseline, leaving a 2-3mm expansion joint at the joints.
3. Installation and fixing: Plaster moldings are installed using a spot-bonding method with plaster adhesive, with no less than 3 bonding points per meter; wooden moldings are fixed with nails. 4. Joint Treatment: Fill the joints of plaster moldings with joint compound; wood molding joints require a 45-degree bevel cut.
