(1) Check the depth of the pattern/texture.
Generally, the relief of the pattern/texture on plaster molding products should be at least 10mm, and the workmanship should be fine. This ensures that after installation and surface painting, the three-dimensional effect is maintained, showcasing the decorative effect.
(2) Check the surface smoothness.
Since the pattern/texture on plaster molding products cannot be sanded or treated during installation and painting, a high degree of surface smoothness is required. Only plaster molding products with a fine surface and smooth feel will achieve a good decorative effect after installation and painting.
(3) Check the product thickness.
Gypsum is an airtight cementitious material. Plaster molding products must have a certain thickness to ensure that the affinity between its molecules reaches the optimal level, thereby ensuring a certain service life and integrity and safety during the service period.
(4) Check the price of the plaster molding.
Compared to the price of high-quality plaster molding products, inferior plaster molding products are 1/3 to 1/2 cheaper. While the low price is attractive to users, defects often become apparent after installation and use, leading to regret. Plaster moldings are generally made of a combination of plaster and fiber or fiberglass, differing only in appearance.
